Account deletion
Delete your Skyward account
Skyward, by UniChat Games. You can delete your account and its data from inside the game, or by email without the app installed.
In the game
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Tap it again to confirm.
That is all. The account is closed on our side straight away, and everything on the phone is erased too. This works on iPhone and Android, and also if you were never signed in.
Without the app
If you no longer have the game installed, email privacy@unichat.dev and ask us to delete your account. So we can find it, include one of these:
- your player code, which Settings shows in the game; or
- the email address of the Google account you signed in with, or the Apple relay address if you use Sign in with Apple.
We may ask you to confirm the request before we act on it. We answer within 30 days and do not charge for it.
What is deleted
- Your cloud-saved progress, level clears, endless progress and weekly rewards.
- Your coin and gem balances and their history, your items and your lives.
- Your daily gift streak, your gifts and your invitations. Gifts somebody sent you that you had not yet accepted go back to them.
- Your device records and the recorded inputs of your runs.
- Your profile details: the display name is removed and freed, the avatar reset, the player code released, and your country, language and time zone cleared.
You can never sign in to that account again. You can still play: deleting releases your Game Center, Apple and Google sign-in, so next time you get a new, empty account.
What is kept, and for how long
| Kept | How | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| Leaderboard entries | Without your name. They are part of other players' rankings. Ask us and we will remove them too | Until the board is retired, or until you ask |
| Purchase records | With your account identifier removed | As long as tax and accounting law requires, usually 7-10 years |
| Analytics events | As anonymous statistics, no longer linked to you or your device | Up to 24 months from when they were recorded |
| New-player marker | A one-way hash with no account identifier and no name, so the new-player free lives are given once per device | 24 months after the device was last seen |
| A record that a deletion happened | The date and how many rows were affected, nothing about who you were | As long as we need to show we honoured the request |
Section 7 of the privacy policy sets all of this out in full. Want your data before it goes? Settings, then Profile, then Get a copy of my data saves it as a file first.
